We were very happy to receive this message from our student Gloria about Uganda’s National Heroes Day, 9th June 2023, which commemorates those who lost their lives in the Ugandan Bush War (1981 – 1986): Hello, Hope all is well with you all. I am writing to say thank you to you and the whole of SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL AFRICA on this Hero’s day. I honestly sought through my life and wondered how I have been able to reach where I am and sincerely, you all played most greatest roles through giving me a chance to chase my dreams in the academic field. Thank you will never be enough but kindly take it. You have given me a definition of who a hero is. Someone who gives hope, sacrifices all they ever have to enable others attain smiles.
