Prize Ninsiima
This is Prize Ninsiima. After graduating, Prize secured funding by her own efforts and found a place at Cardiff University in the UK to do a Masters degree. She is currently awaiting her results before returning to Uganda, where she will take up her place of employment.
Prize has also been an ambassador for the charity by mentoring other students. She was in the top 10% of students at her graduation and has proves resourceful and resilient in Iooking for opportunities after graduation.
Prize was raised by a single mum who struggled to find the fees for her daughter's higher education. Prize was able to secure a scholarship based on her excellent grades. However, after two years the sponsor simply stopped funding Prize’s scholarship. Around the same time Prize’s mother was diagnosed with cancer and Prize began missing classes in order to take care of her mother. It was at this point that we were contacted for help.
Prize has continued to maintain exceptional grades despite caring for her mother, who sadly passed away recently. Her experience has motivated her to take a special interest in oncology, which she would like to pursue beyond her medical training and complete a Master’s degree in.
