Rose Sarpong
Rose Sarpong is a young woman from Ghana, our very first student from that country. She wiII be pursuing a degree in Medicine. Throughout her school years she has had consistently exceIlent grades. This is her story:
“I am a child of a divorced family, of whom my mother has been a primary caregiver. I am one of five children and I am the second child. Due to financial constraints, I relocated from my rural village to the city, where I resided with a guardian, enabling me to pursue my junior high and secondary education.
Upon completing my secondary education with a great grade, my guardian inquired about my future plans. I shared my aspiration to become a medical doctor, but she expressed concerns about the financial feasibility, suggesting alternative careers like teaching. Her concerns about the financial feasibility of a medical career left me perplexed, as I had not considered alternative options. I am now in dire need of support to further my studies as a medical student.
Throughout my academic journey, I have consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning top grades and recognition for my outstanding performance. My passion for medicine is driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I am committed to becoming a compassionate and skilled physician, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
Despite my academic achievements, I face significant financial challenges that threaten to derail my dreams. This scholarship is a lifeline, enabling me to focus on my studies and achieve my full potential. I am self-assured that, with the support of this scholarship, I will be able to excel in my studies and make a great impact in the medical field. I am eager to contribute to the upward mobility of medical knowledge and improve healthcare culmination for deprived communities.
I am deeply grateful for your support and look forward to the opportunity to turn my dreams into reality.”
