Hero’s Day

What a lovely message to receive from Gloria on Hero’s Day, which commemorates people who lost their lives in the Ugandan Bush War from 1981 - 1986:

I am writing to say thank you to you and the whole of Small is Beautiful Africa on this Hero's Day. I honestly sought through my life and wondered how I have been able to reach where I am and sincerely, you all played the most greatest roles through giving me a chance to chase my dreams in the academic field.

Thank you will never be enough, but kindly take it.

You have given me a definition of who a hero is: someone who gives hope, sacrifices all they ever have to enable others to attain smiles.

I don't take it for granted and am humbled.
