This is Prize Ninsiima. She is 22 years old and is currently studying towards her degree in Medicine and Surgery. Prize was introduced to us having already enrolled. She was described as having great potential, but was struggling with fees and began to miss classes.

Prize was raised by a single mum who struggled to find the fees for her daughter's higher education. Prize was able to secure a scholarship based on her excellent grades. However, after two years the sponsor simply stopped funding Prize’s scholarship. Around the same time Prize’s mother was diagnosed with cancer and Prize began missing classes in order to take care of her mother. It was at this point that we were contacted for help.

Prize has continued to maintain exceptional grades despite caring for her mother, who sadly passed away recently. Her experience has motivated her to take a special interest in oncology, which she would like to pursue beyond her medical training and complete a Master’s degree in.
